Disgust at Bredasdorp Rape & Murder of Teenager

We have seen a dark cloud descend over our Nation. We are mindful of the circumstances underlying these actions, but state to the world that nothing could justify the abuse of Woman and Children!

Every 4 minutes a person is raped in SA,’ scream the headlines. ‘One third of SA men admit to having raped,’ says our Medical Research Council. The consequence: the body of 17-year-old Anene Booysen lies lifeless. Her mutilated and brutalized body has given up hope on us as South Africans. It’s a mournful reminder of our national shame – the violation and abuse of our Mothers, Sisters and Daughters, the destruction of our humanity.

Tomorrow it could be Your Mother, Your Wife, Your Sister or Your

I come with 15 years of tough experience at Nedlac, the organisation that brings together business, labour and government. It has not always been easy but we have been able build strong partnerships across the country and cemented relationships with civil society. No council or government can overcome all the immense challenges by itself. The recipe for success is creating a feeling of inclusion amongst all the people of a city. The problem in Cape Town over the past few years has been that many

Zille refugee slur , more than a slip of the tongue

The recent utterances of Premier Zille about refugees is unfortunate , but even more disturbing is her attempts to justify the statement s.  Her army of advisors would have told her there would be a backlash of the kind we saw . With her opponents raising their outrage and her supporters justifying her every move.

Was this not a calculated move by  the DA in pursuit of the bigger picture they are pursuing with their political strategy. . The strategy is simply to create and sustain the notion of” them and us” . In the W Cape US is the people in the minority in SA  and how we must stand together to defend ourselves against the blacks [refugees] the THEM . This is designed to build a sense

State of two Provinces - Response to Zille's State of Province speech

The Address by the Premier  was Pretty  much like the state of the Premier , looked and sounded good , but short of the substance in addressing the key challenges.

The state of the Province [SON] reveals that there are two Provinces and 2 lived realities in the Western Cape  Province . There are those who live lives of opulence and Extravagance , the beneficiaries of Apartheid and the new BEE .  And then there are hard  working families who battle to survive in an economy that has very little prospects for growth and opportunity , Where prices rise and jobs and survival becomes more tenous every day . The Premier spoke to one of these constituencies and delivered, , and her plans reinforced
